Ercolina’s Ercocut EC245L fiber laser provides highly accurate cutting in a variety of tubes and profiles, greatly improving workflow and reducing finish operations.

Ideal for cut off, slotting, saddle cuts, hole patterns, tube notching and more. Quickly produce quality, consistent cuts while reducing labor cost, improving job turnaround time and eliminating secondary fabricating operations.

The 3 kW fiber laser cuts round, square and rectangular tube, angle, channel and flat bar in steel, stainless and aluminum – up to 8-5/8 inch round and 24.5 feet standard length. CNC control positions material and controls all movement throughout the cutting cycle. Software optimizes the cut path for the most efficient cutting, and digital servos maintain and remember axis position.

The operator interface is easy to learn and very user-friendly. Touch screen control allows the operator to move all axes, control speed and start or stop the job when needed. Screen displays current G-Code allowing operator to monitor program. Emergency stop conveniently located for operator safety. Included software allows the operator to create the desired cut and preview the torch path in simulation to minimize scrap before cutting.

• Intuitive software quickly and accurately produces cuts, holes and designs. Imports most CAD files, including DXF, DWG, STEP and IGES. Compatible with most CAD software: SolidWorks, Tekla, SDS2, AutoCAD and Pro/Engineer. Software interprets the file and creates a productive cut path, with part nesting to get the most out of every bar.
• Self-centering pneumatic chucks keep material on center, capturing round, square, rectangular, angle and C-channel with no modifications required. Front and rear chucks hold the piece at both ends, eliminating vibration and keeping cuts accurate on bars up to 24.5 feet.
• Automatic material supports on the table adjust to the correct height of the programmed part – no manual leveling, no sagging on long bars.
• 3 kW fiber laser source with autofocus cutting head – high energy efficiency and low maintenance.

• Carriage precision from a low-backlash, hardened and ground rack and pinion running on ball guides – accurate cuts along the full length of the machine.
• Brushless servo motors with battery-free absolute encoders. No re-homing after a power outage or shutdown – the machine knows where every axis is and restarts immediately.
• Fully digital drive system. No analog signals in the wiring means no positioning drift from electrical interference.
• Standard bevel cutting head cuts bevels to ±45° for weld joint preparation. Autofocus stays active in bevel mode, so cut quality holds at any angle.
• Detailed part simulation allows safe part preview before cutting.
• Industrial touch screen control at the machine handles all axis speed and movement, manual or automatic.
