Bevel cutting for weld preparation

The current EC245L flyer specifies a standard bevel head for cuts to ±45°. For repeat welded assemblies, integrated preparation can reduce separate handling and manual grinding. Confirm the required bevel angle, root face and wall thickness with a sample cut.

A miter cut is not the same as an edge bevel. Laser-cut edges may still need cleaning or finishing to satisfy your welding procedure, tolerance or coating requirements. We recommend evaluating the finished joint—not assuming every part can go directly to welding.

Simple on-screen programming: from drawing to first part

Simple parts should be simple to program. Use the operator interface to create the required cut and preview the path before production. For a demonstration, bring a cutoff, a saddle notch, a hole pattern and a bevel-preparation example from your own work.

2. Create the part or import a supported CAD file; check orientation, dimensions and the required cutting operations.

DXF, STEP and IGES are referenced in Ercolina product information; provide a sample file to confirm importer compatibility, the licensed version and any required modules.
