TB80 Top Bender converts to a mandrel bender
Ercolina’s TB80 Mandrel Bender is ideal for prototype or small production mandrel bending applications. Model shown in video with standard 13′ table. Optional 21′ table extension is available.
The TB80 Mandrel Bender offers capacities to:
- 3″ mild steel tube (.125 wall)
- 3″ stainless tube (.083 wall)
- 2-1/2″ square tube (.083 wall)
- 2-1/2″ Sch. 40 pipe
The TB80 Mandrel Bender control swings out to offer easy access to manual and auto operating modes, system diagnostics and multiple languages. Variable bending speed to 3 RPM with overload protection and programmable bend angle from 0 to 180° with individual material springback and speed settings for every bend angle.

Material matters!
When purchasing tube for your job, remember the cheapest isn’t always the best. Bending tube or pipe of poor quality material often leads to poor-quality bends, higher rates of scrap, and possible breakage. Even the best machinery and tooling won’t overcome poor quality tube material.
Material grade affects the tooling selection and composition; make sure the tooling is supplied to your material specifications so it doesn’t conflict with the material to be bent. As an example, stainless tube can conflict with a steel counter bend die.
When making a decision about material for your application, consider application strength requirements, appearance and quality, and centerline radius specifications. Ask your steel supplier for the material specification to ensure the material is appropriate for bending.
