Aluminum Profile Bends Easily with Ercolina Rotary Draw Bender
Ercolina’s TB100 Top Bender is ideal for producing consistent quality bends in large diameter pipe, tube, square, rectangular, solid and other profiles. Model TB100 Top Bender is shown in the video below bending Aluminum Profile: 4in x 2in – R8in – .5in thick.
The TB100 offers capacities to 4″ mild steel tube, 3″ Sch. 40 pipe and 3-1/2″ square tube with a maximum centerline radius of 17″. Touch screen programming of bend angle with system diagnostics in multiple languages.

Springback – what is that?
After the bend cycle, all materials are prone to a springback affect. Essentially, material relaxes after the counterbend die pressure is released. Most materials should be slightly overbent during the bend cycle to compensate for this effect.
Springback amounts vary depending on the strength and tensile of the material being bent. In addition, springback changes with the degree of bend and the CLR of the forming die.
Higher-quality bending machinery allows the operator to compensate for springback for each bend throughout the bend sequence.
