Pipe and tube benders are, as their name suggests, machines that bend solid metals, including tubes and pipes. More specifically, an exhaust bender is a pipe bender, used to bend exhausts pipes. Pipe bender can be man-powered, hydraulic powered or hydraulic-motor driven. With an exhaust bender, the cross section of the pipe may be internally or externally supported to preserve the shape. If there is flexibility in the shape of the exhaust, no support would be necessary, but there could be slight buckling in the cross section.
